Internet explorer 7 vs safari 3 (beta) vs Firefox 2

Year 2007 | By By Dondy | Permalink Permalink | Comment 4 Comments

No, No this post is not about sick comparison among those three browsers. It's only about how do I use those browser in my day to day activities. It also contain some very subjective opinion of me regarding them.

Internet Explorer 7
Well, this is my preference browser. Why ? because it comes from Microsoft. Yes, that simple. Although I'm not always happy about the performance and some bugs that sometimes happen, I have always use IE since version 2.0 on Windows 95. Beside IE is so integrated with Windows, I always like how IE renders HTML and its object.

Safari 3
Unlike many people who question why Safari doesn't use ClearType on Windows, I love the way Safari IE 7 vs Safari 3 vs Firefox 2 in Vistarenders text. Although it's a little bit blurry, it's perfect for my eye. I don't know why. Maybe because I wear glasses. I'm agree with Steve Jobs that said Safari is fast (when showing web page) however it is still lacking of proxy support and sometimes crash without any reason. I like the way it highlights the word that I search on web page also I don't mind the UI that mimic the OS X version, but changing the state from minimize to maximize always give me heavy impression.

Firefox 2
Skin (Theme?) and plug in is great but I don't use this browser unless those 2 browser that I mention earlier are failing. I use Firefox to update my blog site since IE 7 give me script error when I want to write post and Safari once cut my post without any warning.
